Private Chef

Job Responsibility: This is a part-time position, 4 days per week (Tuesday through Friday) Job Summary We are seeking a talented and flexible Private Chef to join a warm and welcoming household. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in creating fresh, thoughtful meals and enjoys bringing people together around the table. The position is based primarily in Canada, with occasional travel to the United States and extended time spent at the family’s summer residence in Prince Edward Island. The Chef will be responsible for preparing daily meals for the family, as well as designing menus and cooking for special occasions and dinner parties. The role requires a passion for food, flexibility in schedule, and an ability to adapt to different kitchens and household settings. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare seasonal, healthy, and varied meals for the family (lunches and dinners).
• Design menus tailored to dietary preferences and special requests.
• Shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients and manage kitchen inventory.
• Prepare elegant meals and host-style dining for family gatherings and dinner parties.
• Travel with the household as required (within Canada and to the U.S.), ensuring consistency of meals across locations.
• Spend part of the summer at the family’s home in Prince Edward Island.
• Work occasionally on evenings, weekends, and holidays when entertaining or family events require it.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to travel.
• Formal culinary training and/or strong professional chef experience, preferably in private households or hospitality settings.
• Creativity and passion for seasonal, high-quality cuisine.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to plan ahead for events and travel.
• A flexible and professional approach, with the discretion required for private household work.
• A warm, collaborative personality with a focus on providing an exceptional dining experience.

Salary $80,000 – $95,000 per year depending on experience. Competitive benefits package, including paid vacation and health coverage (details to be discussed). Accommodation provided while traveling and when away on Prince Edward Island.
