The Opportunity

Bienenstock is entering a significant growth phase, and we're looking for a Sales Manager to help lead us there. This is a builder's role: we are looking for someone to grow the sales team and capability to meet the opportunity in front of us - hiring the right people, establishing how we sell, and building the process and culture that will carry our growth for years to come.

In the early days, you'll be selling directly — as most people in leadership roles at Bienenstock do. Our playgrounds are significant investments for our clients, and the relationships we build reflect that: thoughtful, consultative, and advisor-led rather than transactional.

As the team grows, your role will shift toward hiring, coaching, and leading the sales function you've built. We're looking for someone with genuine leadership experience, but just as important is an entrepreneurial mindset - someone comfortable building something from scratch, taking on more as the company grows, and continuing to learn and evolve alongside it.

What You'll Do

• Build and lead the sales function - hire, onboard, and develop a team as the company scales, and establish the processes and systems (CRM, forecasting, reporting) needed to support that growth.


• Sell directly, especially early on - manage key client relationships and close major projects yourself, modelling the advisor-led approach Bienenstock is known for.


• Own the management of sales strategy and performance - partner with the VP of Sales and leadership team to set targets, then take responsibility for executing, tracking pipeline health, and adjusting course as the team and market evolves.


• Collaborate cross-functionally - work closely with Design, Operations, Marketing, and Client Experience to support smooth project hand-offs and a consistent client experience.


• Represent Bienenstock's mission - bring our passion for youth development and nature and our reputation for thought leadership and innovation into every client conversation and every hire you make.


• Grow with the company - this role is expected to expand significantly in scope as our sales capability matures.

What We're Looking For

• Solid sales experience, ideally with experience leading, coaching, and mentoring staff - we're weighing mindset as heavily as resume.


• A consultative, relationship-first selling style, and comfort guiding clients through significant, carefully considered investment decisions.


• An entrepreneurial spirit - comfortable with ambiguity and with building processes where none exist yet.


• Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM and sales data to support forecasting and decision-making.


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a natural fit for representing a values-driven, mission-led brand.


• Familiarity with the natural playground, recreation, education, or a related sector is preferred.

Compensation & Details

This is a full-time, permanent position with significant room to grow as the sales function — and your role within it — expands. The salary range offered for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 base, plus a performance-based incentive tied to sales results and company profitability.
