Part-Time Laboratory Technician III Role

Enhance healthcare delivery as a Laboratory Technician III at Humber River Health. This part-time position focuses on client comfort during phlebotomy and testing procedures. As a Laboratory Assistant (Laboratory Technician III), you will engage in blood collection for diverse patients, prepare specimens, and maintain lab equipment with state-of-the-art technology. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnostics and ultimately better health outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out phlebotomy and ECG procedures effectively
- Conduct microbiology planting and sample processing
- Manage histology dispensing duties
- Participate in other lab disciplines as trained
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
- Completion of Laboratory Assistant Technician Certificate
- At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience
- Certification from MLPAO or CSMLS/SCSLM
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of diversity and equity principles in healthcare
