At Seequent, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design of innovative data solutions. This role focuses on developing scalable platforms that enhance geoscience data analytics. You will be instrumental in shaping data engineering best practices and mentoring junior engineers in this position. With a solid background of over 7 years in data architecture or engineering, your role will involve managing complex data pipelines and ensuring optimal performance of data environments. Familiarity with cloud services and data modeling will be key. Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-performance cloud data solutions
- Create data pipelines for real-time and batch processing
- Manage data movement into structured storage solutions
- Develop observability tools and CI/CD for testing
- Guide best practices in data engineering and APIs
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years in data engineering or architecture
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and cloud data services
- Knowledge in containerization and streaming technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
