ETL QA Test Analyst
Location:
• Toronto, ON
• Hybrid – 2 days per week in Toronto office (preferred)
Role & Responsibilities:
• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Prepare test plans, strategies, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Prepare data for testing.
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
• Develop testing programs addressing database impacts, software scenarios, and usability.
• Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program functionality, output, online screens, or content.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Create and maintain databases of known test defects.
• Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
Must Have Skills:
• QA Test Analyst experience.
• 8+ years of overall experience.
• ETL testing experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on ETL testing experience.
• Database/Backend testing experience, including writing and validating medium to high complexity SQL queries.
• Experience writing Unix commands through shell scripting.
• In-depth knowledge and working experience with:
• Netezza
• SQL
• HBase
• Kafka
• Hive
• Experience working on Agile projects.
• Experience with:
• MS SSIS
• SSRS
• AWS Redshift
• Experience with HP ALM.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage independent and distinct challenges.
Nice to Have Skills:
• Exposure to Cloud/AWS.
• Exposure to visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Knowledge of REST APIs.
