Overall Summary of Duties

Reporting to the financial controller s/he will be the specialist of all bookkeeping, financial administration needs for the Company. S/He will be accountable to utilize the existing paperless system for, all income, expenses, AR, AP, reconciliation, assets, and liabilities in addition to government filing for: GST/HST, payroll, income tax, and more.

Qualifications:

• College diploma, or University degree in accounting, or finance, or 5+ years of direct and relevant bookkeeping experience.
• Minimum 2+ years experience using MS Excel, and Quickbooks.
• Minimum 2+ years of work experience in some accounting & financial capacity.

Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping & Financial Administration:

• Accurately record financial transactions for all the companies & properties.
• Input income & expenses to manage the AP, AR daily.
• Prepare P&L monthly, and BS quarterly for all companies.
• Attach papertrail to each transaction.
• Track & refund inter-company transactions.
• Perform expenses coordination: collecting, coding and entering bills.
• Prepare and track: quotes, budgets, cost codes, variance reports.
• Prepare monthly reporting: GST/HST, WSIB, payroll, taxes
• Must be fluent with Quickbooks online, and MS Excel.
• Implement automatic invoicing & collection.
• Perform payments quickly & accurately, to avoid late fees & interest.
• Prepare payments: cheques, or electronic fund transfers.

Administration Support:

• Organize estimates, invoices, and payments in project folders;
• Review property and tenant records accurate and up to date;
• Support the construction & renovation team if and when required.
• Trusted to collect cash, coins, do deposits, and manage a company visa card.

Assets to Have:

• Have 5+ years using Quickbooks
• Have worked on the financial administration capacity for a construction company.
• Have worked on the financial administration capacity for an investment company.
• Have used Property management software, like Buildium.
• Can prepare, explain, and balance with accuracy, a company P&L, and BS.
• Experience and understand loans, and inter-company transactions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $41,242.00-$50,625.00 per year
