What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.
As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

- Fix full-time schedule: Monday to Friday: 0400am - 1200pm

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard
- Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
- Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
- Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
- Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
- Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
- Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
- Communication with customers, contractors etc.
Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security worker license
- Standard First aid certification (OFA1 / OFA - level C) or higher - mandatory requirement
- Strong communication in English, interpersonal and report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to comply with workplace safety requirements - incl. respirator fit-testing requirements and the safe use of PPE
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
