Distribution Lead

Job Responsibility:

P osition Title: Distribution Center Coach

Reports To: DC Supervisory/Management Team

Location: 550 Boxwood Dr. Cambridge, ON.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm | Flexibility with work schedule is required (days and hours may fluctuate due to workload and must be able to work weekends and overtime when necessary).

Please note Hours of Operation can be subject to change or fluctuate as dictated by business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Moores - Retail operations for Tailored Brands at Cambridge DC are seeking a dependable and motivated Lead to join their team to help management with daily fulfillment operations. The responsibilities of the position will consist of but are not limited to the following:

• • Perform staff level responsibilities when not performing Lead responsibilities
  • Fill in to conduct daily huddle meetings as needed
  • Communication of Safety requirements, changes and tips.
  • Conduct 1 Hour Interval Follow-up to provide employees with their average.
  • Input Employee Lost Time Tracker Information.
  • Assist management to promote and implement best practices.
  • Assist in training employees.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all employees and management.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are in proper working condition.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with building security measures as prescribed by management.
  • Understand and assist management with attaining the department's goals and objectives.
  • Participate in personal development opportunities.
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude consistently.
  • Assist in other projects or in any other area of the distribution center.

Requirements:

• • Basic MS Office skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills a plus
  • WM system Knowledge
  • Working experience in the department is a plus
  • Demonstrated “Leadership” skills within the department.
  • Performs current duties at a “Meets or Above Standard Rating”.
  • Ability to fill-in for the department supervisor, when required.
  • Ability to work effectively with others at all levels and to consistently display a high level of professionalism.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Good people and interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize daily tasks and ability to learn new skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate and inspire employees.
  • Work well as part of a team; self-motivated with willingness to take on new tasks, challenges, and opportunities

The starting rate for this position is $21.30 - $23 and may increase to $24.83 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
