Base Salary : $200,000 – $225,000 (CAD)

Job Summary 

We are looking for an experienced Principal to join our team. As a Principal, you will have end-to-end accountability for engagement success, lead teams of analytics professionals, and play an active role in business development and thought leadership. You will manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously, build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives and PE partners, and contribute significantly to firm growth and innovation. We are particularly interested in candidates who operate with integrity, intellectual humility, and a long-term career commitment. The ideal candidate for this role will have deep technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of delivering exceptional value to private equity-backed portfolio companies.

Requirements

Necessary Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• 8-10 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence analytics practice at a Big 4 firm or equivalent with proven track record of engagement leadership
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing multiple complex engagements simultaneously
• High business acumen and advanced understanding of connectivity between operational data and financial data (ERP <> CRM <> PoS <> HRIS <> P&L / trial balance / journal entries, etc.)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and analysis
• Expert knowledge in data visualization principles and executive-level presentation
• Expert knowledge in enterprise data modeling across various methodologies (Kimball, Medallion, Data Vault, etc.)
• Proven leadership and management capabilities with track record of developing high-performing team members
• Strong client relationship management skills with C-suite and PE partners
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Track record of business development contributions
• Demonstrated ability to manage engagement economics and project profitability

Preferred Qualifications 

• Recognized expertise in specific industry vertical (technology, healthcare, business services, etc.)
• Deep familiarity with PE value creation playbooks and operating models
• Thought leadership presence through publications, speaking engagements, or industry recognition
• Certification in data science or analytics (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional)

Flexible Work Policy

We promote flexible work to support wellbeing and performance. Remote work is available though in-person collaboration is encouraged for planning and team connection. Toronto based employees have no mandated office days but are expected in person for key meetings. Employees outside Toronto may work remotely with occasional travel for events. Early career professionals with less than three years of experience should live within commuting distance to receive in person mentorship. Relocation support is available on a case-by-case basis.

Working Hours and ESA Exemption

This position is classified as a specialized professional role under O. Reg. 285/01, s. 2 of Ontario's Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) and is therefore exempt from overtime pay requirements. While standard hours of work are expected to be approximately 40 hours per week, additional hours may be required to meet client deliverable sand business needs. Such expectations are reflected in the annual salary.
