Job Responsibility:
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Day Camp Director to help lead our summer camp program. The Assistant Camp Director will be responsible for helping creating a safe, engaging space for children while overseeing maby aspects of camp operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and a commitment to fostering a positive experience for campers and staff alike.
Duties
- Develop some camp programs
- Supervise some camp staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality programming.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining a safe environment and adhering to health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding camp activities and camper progress.
- Organize daily schedules, activities, and special events.
- Monitor camper behavior and address any issues that arise in a timely and constructive manner.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback from campers, parents, and staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is essential.
- Background in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff members.
- Experience in tutoring or educational programming is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours during the camp season.
