Hybrid Commercial Auto Underwriter Specialist

Join Gore Mutual as a Commercial Auto Underwriting Specialist, working in a hybrid role from Cambridge or Toronto. Focus on delivering exemplary training while overseeing Fleet and Garage underwriting processes. In your new role, you will ensure underwriting integrity within the Auto portfolio, bringing over a decade of expertise in Commercial Auto. Engage in quality initiatives while mentoring fellow underwriters and updating industry-relevant guidelines. Your proactive approach will help establish a solid foundation for training and compliance within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Technical File Reviews and audits
- Create engaging training programs for underwriters
- Update and maintain underwriting documentation
- Collect and analyze trends from audits
- Assist with Ombudsman complaints management
- Completion of Post Secondary Education
- Required CIP designation; FCIP is a plus
- 10+ years of relevant underwriting experience
- Proven auditing experience with actionable results
- Strong grasp of auto policies and compliance needs
