Shift: Monday to Friday: 11:00am to 7:30pm ( 40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $22.18/hour ($25.12 after 3 months)

Location: 98 Monk St, Chapleau, ON P0M 1K0 (This is a remote run where the employee would be required to start and end their shift at Chapleau Depot)

Position Information

*This run operates remotely out of Chapleau, ON. Start and end run in Chapleau *

Monday - Friday

11:00 am - 7:30 pm (30 min. unpaid break)

40 hours per week

$22.18 per hour (Next increase after 3 months as per CBA)

The Courier picks up and delivers customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules and resolves problems as they arise. 

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day
Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)

Education

Completion of High School 
Completion of specific vocational courses
Valid Class 5 driver’s license 

Experience

3 years of driving experience and clean driver’s abstract to drive delivery vehicles.

Purolator offers a Defined Benefit (DBH) Pension Plan to its employees. Purolator also offers Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (GRRSP) and Group Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSA) for its employees. Purolator offers its full and part-time employees the ability to enrol in the Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP).

• After 12 months of continuous service, employees are automatically enrolled in the DBH Pension Plan
• As of the hire date, employees are eligible to start making voluntary contributions to the GRRSP and TFSA
• Full-time employees are eligible to enrol in the ESOP program after 6 months of continuous service

Purolator supports the health and well-being of its employees and provides access to the Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) through TELUS Health.
