VP of Communications at WWF-Canada

Lead strategic communications for WWF-Canada in a hybrid role based in Toronto, Ottawa, or Montréal. Drive impactful narratives and manage a high-performing team while protecting our reputation. As the Vice President of Communications, you will oversee the organization’s narrative, ensuring clear and compelling messaging. This senior management role requires you to foster a team that translates conservation efforts into relatable stories for diverse audiences. You will work closely with leadership to manage reputational risks and enhance public understanding of conservation issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and protect WWF-Canada’s public-facing narrative
• Oversee conservation communications and media strategies
• Lead crisis management and reputation risk response
• Manage and mentor a high-performing communications team
• Ensure editorial quality across all content formats

Requirements:

• 10+ years in communications, with 6+ years in senior management
• Experience in non-profit sector preferred
• Proven media placement success
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingualism in English/French is an asset
