About Us: Social Connections ABA Therapy is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and youth through evidence-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies. Our Thorold location will soon offer an engaging and supportive after-school program designed to provide respite care, social opportunities, and meaningful activities for children and youth.
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Respite Care Coordinator to join our team as an independent contractor. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and youth, this role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic program and provide on-site support.
As the Respite Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our after-school program by organizing activities, overseeing materials and resources, managing staff schedules, and directly supporting respite workers and participants. This role involves a combination of administrative leadership and hands-on engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily activities for the after-school program.
- Ensure necessary materials and supplies are prepared and available.
- Adjust schedules and activities to meet participants' needs.
Staff Management:
- Schedule and coordinate respite workers for adequate program coverage.
- Provide on-site support and guidance to staff.
- Assist respite workers in implementing ABA strategies effectively.
Direct Support:
- Deliver direct respite care to children and youth as needed.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for participants.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Liaise with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding program updates and participant progress.
- Collaborate with the broader team to maintain alignment with ABA principles and organizational goals.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
