Position Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-focused Senior Director of Finance to enhance our financial operations, improve reporting capabilities, and drive data-informed decision-making. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely financial and operational reporting, maintaining rolling forecasts, and refining financial processes to support the company's ongoing growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical skills, a passion for process optimization, and the ability to oversee financial and operational metrics in a fast-paced environment.

As the Senior Director of Finance, you will be responsible for driving the company's financial strategy and planning as well as assessing the financial performance of the company along with possible risks and investments. You are a reliable professional with broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles. You are a strategic thinker and effective leader who can make the most profitable decisions. The objective of this role is to guide Andau Medical towards profitability and long-term success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
• Conduct Financial Planning & Analysis: lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide insights and decision support to all business functions based on analytics and business intelligence.
• Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to mitigate risk.
• Engage with financial institutions and partners to ensure all potential strategies, such as hedging, LOC, etc. are utilized to fully benefit the organization.
• Lead the finance, HR, and business analytics teams, ensuring all accountabilities are met.
• Continuously improve process and systems.
• Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
• Responsible for timely and accurate month-end close, including oversight to the completion of all accounting tasks.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual Canadian and US sales tax inputs as required by external accounting firm.
• Oversee accounts payables and accounts receivables ensuring accurate reporting.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and guidelines.
• As a team player, pitch in where needed to support the daily operations of the business.
• As required, handles other accounting and finance related projects from time-to-time.

Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 2+years managing full-cycle accounting with a small to medium sized business.
• Progressive experience leading financial teams and providing decision support to cross-functional areas.
• Experience working in organizations with both US and Canadian operations will be considered an asset.
• Experience with ZOHO suite of products also considered an asset.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
• A master's degree considered an asset.
• CPA Designation or equivalent is required.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• An analytical mindset with a strategic ability.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
