Your new role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Ethics & Compliance, you will help advance a risk-intelligent and agile Ethics & Compliance (E&C) program aligned with regional and global priorities. As a trusted business partner, you will provide strategic guidance on key E&C initiatives, partner with assigned departments and functions, and strengthen ethical and compliant decision-making across the business. Working collaboratively across the organization, you will help deliver innovative, compliant market-fit solutions while reinforcing a culture of integrity and enabling confident, risk-informed decisions that drive sustainable business success.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and delivering Ethics & Compliance communications, education, and training to build awareness and strengthen ethical and compliant decision-making.
• Conducting risk assessments and monitoring activities across prioritized compliance risk areas (including healthcare professional engagements and interactions, external support, and other key activities), documenting findings, tracking corrective actions, and supporting audit readiness and remediation.
• Optimizing systems and processes (including sponsorship workflows and Veeva Events Management) to strengthen compliance controls and improve operational efficiency.
• Providing strategic Ethics & Compliance guidance to assigned Lines of Business on key initiatives and business activities.
• Developing and maintaining local policies, procedures, guidance documents, and SharePoint resources to enable consistent and effective program execution.
• Collaborating with regional and global Ethics & Compliance teams to share leading practices and continuously enhance the Ethics & Compliance program.

Anchored within Novo Nordisk Canada Inc.'s (NNCI) Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality (LECQ) department and aligned with our Global Ethics & Compliance strategy, the Ethics & Compliance function serves as a proactive, solutions-oriented business partner, enabling the business to achieve its strategic priorities through ethical, compliant, and risk-informed business practices that build trust and support the responsible delivery of life-changing therapies to Canadians.

Your skills & qualifications

You are a collaborative and solutions-oriented professional with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to ethical business conduct. You bring:

• 7+ years of Ethics & Compliance, regulatory, privacy, or broader pharmaceutical industry experience (5+ years in an Ethics & Compliance role preferred).
• A bachelor's degree in business, law, marketing, or a related discipline (master's degree, compliance certification, or project management certification preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering effective communications, education, and training programs.
• Experience using and optimizing systems (e.g., Veeva CRM, Veeva Events Management, Salesforce, or similar platforms) to improve processes and enable effective program execution.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with proven project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
