Business Unit Head, Hematology

AbbVie seeks a Business Unit Head for Hematology in Montreal to lead strategic development, commercial execution, and financial planning across sales and marketing functions. The role involves managing teams, optimizing resources, and driving brand performance while maintaining patient-centered initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing and sales brand strategies to maximize sales, margins, and business growth
• Lead, develop, and coach sales teams; set performance targets, manage KPIs, and ensure continuous skill development
• Manage brand P&Ls including sales forecasting, resource allocation, and financial planning
• Build cross-functional partnerships and communicate market intelligence to optimize strategy execution
• Develop talent, build succession plans, and model AbbVie's organizational values across the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, commerce, or business administration; MBA considered an asset
• Proven track record in pharmaceutical marketing and sales management positions
• Experience launching innovative pharmaceutical products
• Extensive experience leading large sales teams in matrix structures
• Strong knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing principles, digital marketing, finance, and regulatory compliance
• Advanced English fluency required; French proficiency preferred for Quebec environment
• Oncology therapeutic area expertise preferred
