Senior Software Engineer for Affirm's Backend

Elevate Affirm's backend capabilities as a Senior Software Engineer focused on the Growth Platform. This fully remote position is designed for innovative thinkers skilled in Python or Kotlin. As a vital member of the engineering team, you will lead efforts to meet critical quarterly goals while designing scalable systems that enhance user engagement. Collaboration with product, data science, and experience teams is essential to navigate technical complexities and drive Affirm's expansion. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive team accountability toward quarterly objectives
- Partner with product and analytics on effective technical solutions
- Identify and advocate for resolutions to technical challenges
- Establish and track performance metrics for team output
- Mentor team members to maintain coding excellence and quality
- Minimum 4 years in backend software development
- Expertise in Python or Kotlin with a strong coding background
- Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes platforms
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and data modeling
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
