Marketing Coordinator - Contract Position

Job Description

Queen's Hospitality Services is seeking a creative, energetic, and student-focused Marketing & Student Engagement Coordinator to support the promotion and growth of dining, retail, catering, meal plan, conference, and hospitality programs across campus.Building upon the role's existing focus on graphic design, digital media, photography, videography, and content creation, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening Hospitality Services' visibility, enhancing the student experience, and promoting programs and initiatives that support business objectives. This position will bring the Hospitality Services brand to life through creative storytelling, promotional campaigns, student engagement initiatives, and digital communications.

Culinary experiences and well-maintained environments are fundamental to student success. From brain-powering ingredients to comforting flavor combinations, nutritious food doesn’t have to be boring. Aramark chefs and dietitians are constantly reviewing the latest insights and food trends to find the next culinary innovation and help students discover their love of food.
We partner with you to enhance the student experience, support parents, and collaborate with administrative, all while delivering on the expectations of parents and the community.

This is an 18-month contract position.

Job Responsibilities

Creative Content Development & Brand Design

• Design and develop digital and print marketing materials supporting Hospitality Services programs and initiatives.
• Create photography, video, graphics, signage, presentations, and promotional assets for customer-facing communications.
• Ensure all materials align with Queen's University and Aramark brand standards.
• Maintain creative asset libraries, templates, and marketing resources.

Social Media & Digital Engagement
• Lead the development and execution of Hospitality Services social media content and campaigns.
• Create engaging content that promotes dining programs, retail concepts, meal plans, events, and campus hospitality experiences.
• Support a consistent and engaging Hospitality Services presence across digital channels.
• Coordinate content calendars, photography, and campaign execution.

Student Engagement & Campus Activation
• Support student engagement initiatives that increase awareness and participation in Hospitality Services programs.
• Coordinate promotional events, pop-ups, tabling activities, taste tests, customer engagement initiatives, and awareness campaigns.
• Build relationships with student groups and campus partners to support outreach opportunities.
• Represent Hospitality Services at events and promotional activities as required.

Hospitality Marketing Campaigns
• Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for meal plans, retail dining, catering, sustainability initiatives, wellness programs, and special events.
• Collaborate with operational teams to support new program launches, seasonal promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Assist in identifying creative opportunities to increase participation and awareness across Hospitality Services.

Marketing Program Support
• Coordinate marketing materials, signage, menu communications, digital assets, and promotional resources across multiple locations.
• Maintain consistency of Hospitality Services branding and customer communications.
• Collaborate with university stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams to support approved marketing initiatives.
• Provide administrative and project coordination support for marketing activities and special projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, content creation, or customer engagement.
• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, and content development tools.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital content creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $57,000.00.
