Medical Office Assistant

This busy family practice and walk-in clinic in the SW is looking for a part-time Medical
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Opening/Closing duties
- Greeting patients arriving for their appointment
- Verifying patient’s demographics in EMR system
- Booking/confirming appointments
- Scanning and linking of documents
- Sorting/sending mail/faxes
- Handling cash and issuing receipts
- Recalling patients for follow up appointments
- Notifying patients for their specialist appointments
- Assisting doctors, taking vitals
- Other administrative duties
Job Requirements:
- At least 6 months experience in a medical office setting
- Ability to do opening hours (early as 7:45am) or closing hours (late as 6:30pm)
- Ability to work on Saturdays
- Outstanding customer service
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience with EMR (Collaborative Health Records, CHR)
- Computer skills/experience (required) with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (preferred).
- A professional and friendly personality and appearance
- Someone who will take initiative and also follows direction
