Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Winchester district which is rich in history with a thriving, vibrant, and diverse economy.
You will be leading the delivery of the Income, Homeownership and Tenancy Sustainment services for the Council’s Landlord Service across 5000 homes to enable our communities to thrive and our tenants to sustain their tenancies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the Income, Homeownership and Tenancy Sustainment services for the Council’s Landlord Service across 5000 homes to enable communities to thrive and tenants to sustain their tenancies.
- Lead on the efficient and effective collection of Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Income streams for the Landlord Service, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulation.
- Support the financial resilience of the HRA and customers by helping tenants to sustain their tenancies or leases while managing and mitigating risks associated with arrears, bad debt, legal action and leasehold disputes.
- Focus on income recovery for all income streams (rental, homeownership, rechargeable repairs, etc.) and act as the subject matter expert to maximise income for the HRA.
- Ensure the delivery of right first time, quality customer service while driving customer satisfaction and working in partnership across teams to promote and enable effective customer engagement.
- Reporting to the Service Lead (Landlord Services), contribute to shaping future services amid regulatory inspection preparation and opportunities presented by LGR.
- Encourage a challenging and rewarding environment with strong team spirit and ability to get things done.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Income Manager or equivalent within housing/landlord services.
- Knowledge of Housing Revenue Account income streams, arrears management, and tenancy-related processes.
