Opportunity: Aftermarket Automotive Technical Support Specialist

As part of our growth strategy and to better serve our distributors and customers, we are hiring an experienced Aftermarket Automotive Technical Support Specialist. This job provides comprehensive technical support to both our internal technicians and our valued customers regarding the troubleshooting, maintenance, pre-delivery inspection, and repair of e-JEST electric buses and diesel coaches. This role demands a keen attention to detail, a strong foundation in electrical vehicle technology, and exceptional problem-solving skills to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our fleet.

Location: 6625 Kestrel Rd. Mississauga, Ontario. L5T 1P4.

Major Intersection: South of Tomken Rd. at Courtneypark Dr. East

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure that safety is the top priority in all activities performed.

· Offer timely and effective technical support to resolve issues related to the operation, maintenance, pre-delivery, and repair of Karsan e-JEST electric buses and Temsa coaches.

· Diagnose hardware and software faults in collaboration with engineering teams to propose appropriate solutions.

· Install, configure, and upgrade vehicle software systems as required, ensuring optimal performance.

· Conduct detailed troubleshooting sessions with technicians and customers, guiding them through steps to resolve technical problems.

· Provide clear and concise documentation and guidance on vehicle maintenance procedures and protocols.

· Collaborate closely with the after-sales service team to ensure warranties and maintenance services are honored and executed efficiently.

· Stay abreast of the latest advancements in electric bus technology to provide informed support and recommendations.

· Participate in continuous education and training sessions to keep up with the rapidly evolving technology in electric and autonomous buses.

· Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback from customers and technicians that can be used to improve vehicle design and functionality.

· Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to electric vehicles and public transportation.

· Assist in developing and refining technical manuals, troubleshooting guides, and training materials for internal and external use.

· Lead initiatives to improve technical support processes and tools to enhance customer satisfaction and service efficiency.

· Act as a liaison between the sales, technical, and operational teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of technical issues.

· Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technical support and vehicle performance to senior management.

· Provide expert advice and support during vehicle delivery and commissioning, ensuring a smooth handover to clients.

· Continually maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, reliability, and credibility, which are fundamental requirements for this position.

Physical Demands:

· Lifting up to 50lbs;

· Standing for extended periods of time;

Skills that would make you the preferential candidate:

· Prior automotive/transit repair experience;

· Prior Electric, EV, maintenance and pairs experience;

· Ability to work autonomously, adapt to different situations and manage stress;

· Demonstrate good teamwork skills and maintain positive interactions with others;

· Good verbal, reading comprehension and writing skills;

· Knowledge of first aid, WHMIS, or Kaizen/Lean would be beneficial.
