As a Lunch Sous chef at our downtown Orangeville establishment, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of our seasonal menu items. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to maintaining high standards in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Menu Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards set by the chef and sous chefs. Ensure the quality and consistency of each dish.
• Station Setup and Stocking: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Timely Service: Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner to meet customer expectations and maintain a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Catering and Events: Assist with catering events and onsite private events as needed, contributing to the success of special occasions.
• Kitchen Organization: Help with the cleaning and organization of the kitchen, including maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar role is preferred, with at least 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Knowledge: Possess knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations to ensure the quality and safety of prepared dishes.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in executing recipes, plating, and overall kitchen organization.
• Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
• Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to contribute positively to a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
