Astec Thornbury is looking for an Electromechanical Designer to create top-tier electrical designs in a manufacturing setting. This role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering and Service teams to fulfill client requirements. As an Electromechanical Designer, you will be responsible for crafting precise electrical drawings and overseeing components for various projects. Engage with the Electrical Engineering Department to interpret customer specifications while performing machine setups, debugging, and ensuring quality throughout the electrical design process. This role aids in developing innovative solutions for the mining and construction industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed wiring diagrams and control system layouts
- Develop operational notes and parts lists for projects
- Confirm customer specifications through collaboration with sales and engineering teams
- Aid in troubleshooting and configuring electrical systems
- Involvement in machine setups and testing processes
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Expert knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with EPLAN is a bonus
- Basic understanding of PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with industry codes and regulations
- Flexibility to travel and work overtime when necessary
