Mill Maintenance Supervisor (Temporary)

This position is located at the Nutrien Allan Potash site and will report to the Mill Maintenance General Foreman.

What you will do:

• Execute and supervise the work tasks for the Steam Plant and Utilities department
• Maintain a safe working environment by upholding standards, being active and knowledgeable in safety programs and responding to crew safety concerns
• Schedule daily work assignments for the crew
• Assist in the planning process for the crew
• Conduct and document regular safety meetings
• Understand and abide by the collective agreement and relevant regulations
• Execute cost saving opportunities when available
• Maintain a high level of reliability in the area
• Technical support for Project Engineering initiatives
• Supervise contract HVAC

What you will bring:

• Effective engagement and daily communication of work tasks
• Good computer skills, including the use of EAM software and Microsoft Office
• Organizational skills and the ability to develop a daily schedule with minimal break in work
• Understanding of industrial coatings and continued education of new technology
• Regular assessment of trade skills and development of training plans
• Must hold a Journeyperson Certificate in a relevant trade or an Engineering Degree
• Grade 12 Diploma or GED Equivalency
