The Company owns and manages multi-family and commercial real estate assets, as well as provides property management services and was established over 90 years ago when we began developing homes and income producing commercial properties in locations throughout Vancouver including West Point Grey, Dunbar, Kitsilano, and East Vancouver.

Resident Community Manager Position

The Resident Community Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the day-to-day operations of The Riley. Reporting to the property manager, this role is critical to our resident's experience and will be focused on providing exceptional customer service and a clean, well-maintained and secure building.

The Community

Located at 181 East 32nd Avenue, The Riley will be a mixed-use pet friendly building comprised of 89 one, two and three bedrooms with commercial retail space at grade. It will offer a lounge for residents and is located in Vancouver's sought-after Riley Park-Little Mountain neighbourhood.

Role

• Enforces the provisions of the Residential Tenancy Act.
• Responds to tenant inquiries in keeping with our companies mission to provide exceptional customer service.
• Supervises the building, including common areas, to ensure security and safety of all tenants, the employees and agents of Locarno.
• Manages the rental process for tenants including conducting showings and tours, processing and approving applications and preparing and compiling leasing documents for the rental of suites, parking and / or storage lockers.
• Facilitates credit and reference checks for prospective tenants.
• Creates move-in and move-out reports for each tenant using the Condition Inspection Report.
• Manages all building maintenance requirements to the highest standards. This includes cleaning all common areas, supervising contractors and logging work performed, and conducting minor repairs as necessary. Regularly conducts building inspections and makes recommendations for preventative maintenance. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs.
• Keeps proper books and accounts for the Building as per accounting requirements, attends to the collection and safe deposit of all rent monies and other amounts receivable from tenants.
• Prepares vacant suites for new tenants by completing necessary repairs, upgrades and/or cleaning.
• Issues key access cards (fobs);

Our Must Haves

• Open to Live In or Out Manager at The Riley.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in building management
• Experience with painting, maintenance and repairs is an asset
• Book-keeping or other related administrative experience is an asset
• Strong working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
• Presentation and sales skills are necessary to market suites to prospective tenants.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, even as priorities change and urgencies intervene.
• Ability to be flexible, self-motivated and to take initiative.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Must have good understanding of the English language. This includes both written and verbal communication.
• Experience with, or the ability to quickly grasp industry specific software platforms (Adobesign, Yardi, Certn, etc);
• A solid understanding of Windows-based software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Willingness to work with Angus Property Management system

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
