Job Overview

The Senior Java Developer works within Global Spread Products Technology. We are seeking a talented individual with strong hands‑on experience in developing server‑side components in Java. The work will include strategic state‑of‑the‑art solutions. You will use new stack development with Agile, DevOps high standard, Microservices and Docker for application hosting. You will be working on highly visible and challenging projects to support Global Spread Products. We are looking for a problem solver, someone who loves technology and is passionate about learning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and collaborate technical solutions and strategies with the team.
• Partner with Technical Lead to provide the optimum solution for our GSP clients.
• Participate in the successful delivery of technical solutions.
• Transfer knowledge to other developers during the implementation of solutions and projects.
• Perform design reviews, code reviews, test reviews and technical document reviews.
• Responsible for Systems Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities.
• Ensure code developed meets the business and stakeholder requirements.
• Explore existing application systems. Determines areas of complexity and potential risks to a successful implementation.
• Communicate continually with the client and project teams.
• Contribute to technology team ideas and explain the progress on the development efforts to stakeholders.
• Facilitate improvements to software architecture, software development process and new technologies.
• Follow the company’s engineering standards and ensure these are followed across all modules in the project.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Technology Skills

• Must have expert level hands‑on knowledge and understanding in JAVA/J2EE spring boot, spring framework stack.
• Must have experience with reactive programming.
• Must have deep understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practice.
• Spring boot Microservices is highly preferred.
• Must have Hands‑on SQL, MS SQL/Oracle database.
• MongoDB knowledge and experience
• Must have experience in SCMs like GIT and tools like JIRA.
• Good understanding of OpenShift & Docker.
• Good understanding of Kafka is highly desirable.
• Agile and Scrum methodology experience is required.
• Strong systems analysis, design, and architecture fundamentals.
• Ability to coach, mentor and transfer knowledge effectively.
• Ability to contribute in high- and low-level system design (Sequence diagram, class diagrams).
• Strong communication skills to effectively partner with business and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Applications Development or systems analysis role.
• Extensive experience system analysis and in UI programming of software applications.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $94,300.00 - $141,500.00
