As a Java Mentor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students throughout their learning journey.

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and coach students in Java programming, providing guidance, support, and encouragement.
• Conduct one-on-one or group mentoring sessions, either in-person or remotely, to help students understand core Java concepts and solve coding problems.
• Assist students with coursework, projects, and coding challenges, ensuring they grasp the material and can apply their knowledge practically.
• Provide constructive feedback on students' code, helping them to improve their coding practices and problem-solving skills.
• Create and deliver educational content, such as tutorials, example projects, and coding exercises.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Java and related technologies to provide current and relevant guidance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions and engage actively in their learning process.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing reports and feedback to the program coordinator.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Java developer, with a strong understanding of Java SE and EE.
• Previous experience in a mentoring, tutoring, or teaching role is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Patience and empathy, with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Familiarity with common development tools and environments, such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Maven, and Git.
• Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Spring) and other related technologies is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet students' needs and program deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of database management and SQL.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive learning materials.
