Job Responsibility:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all project purchasing related activities along the product lifecycle for local plant projects (acc. Product development process of SHW)
- Work closely with commodity buyers (Asia and Europe) in sourcing activities
- Prepare RFQ process, supplier evaluations and technical reviews
- Support scouting and new supplier introducing activities
- Coordinate all supplier quality management activities (acc. IATF 16949) to ensure flawless launch of new projects
- Tracking and reporting the project status as well as ensuring that the project goals are achieved in terms of costs, deadlines and quality
- Support and attend in project specific customer and supplier workshops
- Resolve supplier issues, price increase requests, quality and shipment issues Identify and coordinate VA/VE activities and material cost saving potentials
- Manage management presentations and report regularly to the head of (Program) purchasing
- Responsible buyer for sourcing of indirect material (plant specific)
Demonstrated Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical related field including purchasing or equivalent.
- Experience in procurement, preferably within the automotive industry
- Robust project management and negotiations skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Proficiency with software tools (SAP, MS Excel, Powerpoint, )
