Landscape Designer

Job Responsibility:

Job Summary We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer/Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor spaces and a strong understanding of landscape design principles. This role involves collaborating with clients and project managers to create aesthetically pleasing and functional landscapes that enhance the natural beauty of their properties. The Landscape Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, selecting appropriate plants and materials, and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget for landscape projects.
• Create detailed landscape designs, including planting plans, hardscape layouts, and irrigation systems.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, drainage, sunlight exposure, and other environmental factors.
• Select appropriate plants, trees, and materials that align with the design concept and local climate conditions.
• Prepare presentation materials and plans for client meetings to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors during project implementation to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainable practices in landscape design.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field is preferred, not required.
• Previous experience in landscape design or a related role is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in design software such as Realtime landscape architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of horticulture, plant selection, and landscape construction techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• A portfolio showcasing previous landscape design projects is beneficial for applicants.

Job Types: Full-time, SeasonalContract length: 8 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
