Responsibilities: 

• Lead a piping designer team on medium to large sized projects.
• Ability to lead and guide a team of junior to senior piping designers located both locally and remotely.
• Lead the development of piping and mechanical equipment layouts for medium to large greenfield and brownfield sites
• Participating in multi-discipline design reviews and coordinating with those disciplines

Education and Experience:

• Must be a graduate from a Piping Design Technology Program at an accredited College or equivalent education
• Minimum 15 years’ experience focused on piping design in an industrial setting with a focus on oil and gas projects.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as the lead for a piping designer team.
• Experience with the AutoCAD Plant 3D required.  Experience with CadWorx, SmartPlant 3D and the Bentley suite of Open Plant tools is an asset.
• Experience with Piping Design in SAGD oil sands project required.
• Experience with total facility piping and equipment layout required.
