Junior Graphic Designer - Internship/temporary contract

Job Description

The Graphic Designer contributes to the evolution and visibility of Rodeo FX’s visual identity across all brand touchpoints. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team, this role is responsible for designing and adapting visual assets for both internal and external audiences while ensuring the consistent application of established brand standards. Combining strong artistic judgment, attention to detail, and technical execution, the Graphic Designer helps showcase the work of our artists, supports strategic business initiatives, and delivers a cohesive brand experience across all platforms. The role collaborates daily with Marketing, Production, Recruitment, Operations, and Leadership teams to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with company objectives and meets established deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

Brand Stewardship & Consistency

• Ensure the consistent application of Rodeo FX’s visual identity, graphic standards, and typographic guidelines across all deliverables.
• Adapt and extend brand assets to support a variety of communication channels and business needs.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on proper brand usage and visual best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous development and refinement of brand guidelines, standards, and toolkits.
• Perform thorough quality control reviews to ensure accuracy in layout, typography, colour application, formatting, and asset delivery.

Marketing & Brand Tools

• Design visual assets and promotional materials supporting marketing and corporate communication initiatives.
• Produce creative materials for client presentations, conferences, recruitment campaigns, events, and internal initiatives.
• Develop and maintain presentation templates tailored to various business and communication needs.
• Create visuals for newsletters, social media, promotional campaigns, and other communication platforms.
• Design both digital and print materials that reflect Rodeo FX’s quality standards and visual excellence.

Presentations & Visual Communications

• Design professional presentations using Keynote, Google Slides, and PowerPoint.
• Structure information in a clear, engaging, and visually impactful manner.
• Maintain consistency across presentation materials used by different departments and stakeholders.
• Adapt existing content efficiently to meet project, client, and event requirements.
• Ensure the overall visual quality, readability, and effectiveness of communication materials.

Website, Intranet & Digital Platforms

• Design and adapt visual assets for the corporate website and intranet.
• Support the integration and maintenance of digital visual content across online platforms.
• Ensure graphic consistency across all digital properties and communication channels.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal and external digital user experiences.
• Produce optimized assets for multiple formats, resolutions, and distribution environments.

Brand Assets Management & Internal Support

• Maintain, organize, and update brand resources and communication assets.
• Manage libraries of visual content, templates, presentations, biographies, and promotional materials.
• Support Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, and Operations teams with graphic design needs.
• Contribute visual materials for internal culture initiatives, employee engagement activities, and corporate events.
• Participate in the creation of simple motion graphics and animated content, depending on skill set and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual design, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in typography, layout design, and branding principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Excellent knowledge of presentation platforms including Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, high-quality work.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Resourceful, self-motivated, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Strong execution speed without compromising quality standards.
• Genuine interest in current trends in design, visual communication, and brand development.
• Interest in and knowledge of the film, television, advertising, or visual effects industry (an asset).
• Knowledge of web design tools as well as Premiere Pro and After Effects (an asset).
