Principal Aviation Safety Compliance

Lead aviation safety assurance at Air Canada through risk analysis and compliance oversight across Cargo operations and ground activities. Frequent travel and irregular hours may be required.As Principal, Corporate Safety Assurance and Compliance, you will manage safety reports, investigations, audits, and risk assessments. The position supports Cargo leadership through SIMS expertise, CSEQ analytics, regulatory compliance, and safety training. You will help address hazards and strengthen preventative strategies across operational arenas.Key Responsibilities:
Manage ground safety reports, hazards, investigations, and preventative strategiesDevelop protocols for cargo safety submissions and investigationsConduct hazard verification, risk assessments, and compliance monitoringSupport Transport Canada SMS and IATA IOSA assessmentsPresent safety statistics, trends, concerns, and mitigations to leadershipRequirements:
Relevant post-secondary diploma or degree;
university education preferredFive-plus years in safety, quality, compliance, risk management, or oversightQuality auditing or quality management systems accreditation or certificationCSEQ experience as both auditor and safety managerStrong aviation operations, presentation, communication, and analytical abilitiesApply aviation safety, SIMS expertise, risk assessment, and compliance leadership across Air Canada Cargo operations.
