Warehouse Clerical Support

Job Responsibility:

Transport Group, with its overnight (Overnight Expedite) and same-day services (Black Dog Express) to over 550 cities & towns Alberta-wide and an additional 120+ plants & sites throughout the province, is a company on the rise. Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse/Clerical Support professional to join our team. Your role will be crucial in providing essential administrative and warehouse support, ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Your contribution will be invaluable, and we look forward to welcoming you to our team. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience and be able to be on their feet for the duration of their shift (6.00am-2.00pm). This role requires physical work and is not strictly a clerical role.

Responsibilities

- Provide clerical and administrative support to the team

- Assist with data entry, filing, and document management

- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and packages

- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

- Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings

- Handle phone calls and inquiries in a professional manner

- Support Manager and or Team Lead with various tasks as needed

Experience

- Prior experience in clerical or administrative roles is preferred

- Proficiency in working with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively

- Experience in Shipping and Receiving

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with loading/unloading trucks

- Forklift driving experience

- Familiarity with warehouse operations

- Ability to operate equipment like cranes, order pickers, and reach trucks

- Ability to lift, push, and pull boxes and carts (75lbs)

- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance

- Can work independently and in a team environment
