Contemporary Dance Instructor / Choreographer Opportunity
Tryzub School of Ukrainian Dance is seeking a contemporary dance instructor/choreographer to lead two Saturday choreography-based classes focused on exploring Ukrainian stories, themes, and motifs through contemporary movement.
• Ages 9–12
• Ages 13+
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Artistic Director to help shape and develop creative works that blend contemporary dance practices with Ukrainian cultural inspiration.
• Teach weekly contemporary dance classes in a positive and inclusive environment
• Create choreography and movement exploration activities appropriate for each age group
• Guide dancers in storytelling through movement
• Collaborate artistically with the Artistic Director
• Encourage creativity, confidence, and artistic growth in students
• Assist in preparing choreography for possible performances or showcases
• Experience teaching and choreographing contemporary dance
• Strong understanding of movement development, improvisation, and artistic process
• Ability to work with both youth and teen dancers
• Collaborative and creative mindset
• Ukrainian dance experience is considered an asset, but is not required
This is an exciting opportunity to help develop a unique artistic program that bridges contemporary dance and Ukrainian cultural storytelling.
