Pizza Cook / Pizzaiolo

Schedule: Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

We are looking for an experienced and passionate  Pizza Cook / Pizzaiolo to join our team at a busy, fast-paced  Italian restaurant .

The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing high-quality pizzas, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a professional kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Italian style pizzas to restaurant standards
• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients
• Stretch, shape, and top pizzas efficiently and consistently
• Operate and maintain pizza ovens safely
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality
• Keep the pizza station clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
• Communicate and work effectively with the kitchen and front of house teams
• Assist with other kitchen duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a  Pizzaiolo, Pizza Cook, or Line Cook is preferred
• Experience working in a high volume, fast paced restaurant environment
• Knowledge of pizza preparation, dough handling, and oven operation
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies
• Food Handler Certification is an asset
