The Quoting Intern provides crucial support in the preparation and management of quotations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in collaboration with the Sales and Customer Experience Teams. This role emphasizes administrative excellence and meticulous attention to detail ensuring seamless operation of the quoting process.

Key responsibilities of a Quoting Intern include managing daily sales quotation activities and responding to customer inquiries in timely manner. They often collaborate with team members to strategize sales approaches and share best practices. Additionally, they may be involved in monitoring sales metrics and providing insights to improve processes, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and fostering long-term client loyalty. This role can be based out of our Welland, ON (490 Prince Charles Dr S) or Burlington, ON (100-3465 North Service Rd) office.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Compile and prepare quotations based on provided specifications and guidelines.
• Matching customer data with BR part numbers to create quotations.
• Communicating with other departments and requesting pricing and delivery details for products required
• Contract review, checking all contract elements list prior to sending clean purchase order to Customer Experience Team
• Ensure proposals are submitted on time and meeting KPIs
• Forwarding purchase orders to Customer Experience Team as clean PO (standard, rush, progress payment, direct ship)
• Follow Web Apps processes - absorbed freight, create, extend, status changes, pricing create/change
• Any other related admin. work that may be required in improving processes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college or university program, or a recent graduate (within the last 6 months)

• Strong customer service skills

• Works well with high volumes

• Strong time management skills

• 1-2 years customer service experience preferred

• SAP experience is an asset

• Bilingual (English and French) preferred
