Staffmax Staffing is currently hiring a Journeyman Finisher for a reputable residential custom home builder in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for an experienced concrete professional ready to step into a leadership position, overseeing crews while maintaining high-quality workmanship on premium residential projects.

Pay Rate - $39 - $43 an hour
PLUS $2/HR premium for leading a team of 2+
Schedule Time - Monday- Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a crew of concrete workers on residential job sites
Coordinate daily tasks including forming, pouring, and finishing concrete
Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to high-quality standards
Set grades, elevations, and ensure proper layout and alignment
Train, mentor, and support team members on best practices
Inspect work and address issues before and after concrete placement
Maintain site safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Communicate with site supervisors and project managers on progress

Qualifications

Red Seal OR 5 years of experience
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of forming, placing, finishing, and curing concrete
Ability to read blueprints and interpret project specifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
