A quality control lab technician is responsible for testing and analyzing products to ensure they meet industry standards. Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Analyze and interpret data from quality control tests and communicate results to production and management teams.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Document all quality control test results, procedures, and protocols in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality control issues through root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement effective quality control strategies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to quality control in the laboratory setting.
- Participate in training programs and mentor new quality control lab technicians as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control laboratory
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to perform various analytical tests, such as HPLC, GC, and FTIR
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations and guidelines
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software, such as LIMS and ERP
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently as well
