Responsibilities:
- Assemble cardboard boxes and other packaging materials according to specifications
- Cut and shape cardboard to fit specific products or packages
- Operate machinery such as box cutters, glue guns, and tape dispensers
- Inspect finished boxes for quality and ensure they meet customer requirements
- Organize and maintain inventory of packaging materials and supplies
- Collaborate with other team members to meet daily production goals
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions accurately
- Knowledge of different types of materials and their properties, such as cardboard, plastic, and foam
- Familiarity with using tools and machinery commonly used in box-making, such as box cutters, rulers, and glue guns
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions and quantities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as needed
- Prior experience in box-making or manufacturing preferred, but not required
