Material Handler - Warehouse

Position Summary:
The Material Handler performs duties required to receive store and maintain records on component parts. Responsible for counting checking and storage of all component parts.
Measures of success:
Offload and shelve weekly TCR truck in 2 days
Constant consolidation and cleanup of warehouse to maximize storage capacity
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Must have understanding and ability to support previous level duties
Ensures accuracy completeness condition of materials received
Updates ERP for work performed; maintain records as directed
Maintains electric truck and fork truck; notifies supervisor if repairs required
Load and unloads trucks
Unpacks received shipments into designated bin locations
Maintain organize and consolidate warehouse continuously
Assists in cycle counts; reports inventory discrepancies
Maintains orderly work area; ensures equipment is in good operating condition
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift experience required
- Physically able to manipulate hand tools and power tools and push pull lift and/or move materials of up to 60 lbs.
- Able to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks
- Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems
- Attention to detail is essential for success
- Well organized
- Capable of following written and/or verbal instruction
Work Environment
This position works primarily in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position reports on-site for all scheduled shifts.
Full Compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Salary range
$19.20$24.96 CAD
