We are looking to hire hard-working and committed individuals who will contribute to our team of experienced personnel by bringing a willingness to learn and an entrepreneurial spirit to every project. We are currently looking for Sheet Metal Apprentices (1st. - Competitive pay rates
Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates
Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
Fit and join sheet metal parts using welding and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, air and heat ducts, and material handling systems
Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications
A mechanical aptitude
Ability to visualize a finished product from a drawing
Sheet Metal schooling and applicable hours for accreditation
Apprentice Experience or Journeyperson Certificate
Commercial experience considered an asset
