Reporting to the Shop Supervisor the incumbent performs installation testing analysis maintenance and repair tasks of any degree of complexity on hospital buildings building services building service equipment and a wide variety of departmental equipment. Responds to emergency calls throughout the Centre making repairs as required in conjunction with appropriate trades where applicable.
Five years experience post certification in a variety of facets of maintenance of buildings building services building service equipment and departmental equipment.
Previous experience in a health care facility would be an asset.
Experience in the installation of mechanical equipment e.g. heating and ventilating equipment fans pumps (vacuum compressors) and the ability to read blueprints and interpret manuals required.
Certificate of qualification as a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Manitoba/Interprovincial required.
Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Manitoba/Interprovincial certification required.

Must have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the repair or reproduction and re-installation of equipment parts.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
