Process Engineer - Temporary/Full Time

ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Process Engineer to join our Toronto Engineering team! This position will work within the Engineering Department for a 1-year term, providing process engineering support to all ERCO businesses. This includes process design, process optimization and project support for the ERCO’s Sodium Chlorite, Hydrochloric Acid and Chlor-Alkali manufacturing sites. Also included in this position’s responsibilities will be providing process engineering support on patented R-Series Chlorine Dioxide generators for external clients.
Participating in process engineering design efforts on projects within the Engineering Department to fulfill safety standards, environmental requirements and plant/customer satisfaction. Producing heat and material balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs).
Preparing process and instrumentation drawings (P&ID’s).
Calculating equipment, piping sizing and carry out process calculations.
Participating in process hazard analysis (PHA).
Providing process and sizing information for plant instrumentation.
Preparing operating manuals and technical reports.
Support commissioning and start-up activities of process and mechanical systems.
Participating and contributing to equipment 3D model reviews, piping design reviews and building plan layout reviews.

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

• Master's Degree is an asset.
• Licensed by a Professional Engineering Association (in Canada). 3-6 years in Process Engineering in Chemical or related industries is required.
• Industry related experience in process engineering design preferred.
• Experience with Process Safety Management programs, standard and regulations.
• Experience with H2 system design, AutoCAD and ASPEN is an asset.
• Eligible for work travel outside of Canada.
