Accountant: Drive Financial Success at a High-Growth Tech Company
Effortless Admin is revolutionizing the employee benefits industry with our cutting-edge software. As we rapidly expand were seeking a talented accountant to join our dynamic team at College Plaza in Edmonton.
Were looking for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives on accuracy and process improvement. Youll play a crucial role in managing our financial operations with particular emphasis on complex reconciliations across multiple systems and insurance carriers. Working alongside two bookkeepers youll ensure consistency and precision in our accounting functions.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR journal entries and trust accounting
Perform complex reconciliations across multiple insurance carriers and internal systems
Conduct inter-system data reconciliation and billing verification
Handle fixed asset management and month-end closing processes
Prepare financial reports and conduct analysis to inform business decisions
Passion for accounting particularly reconciliation and data accuracy
Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to evolving systems
Minimum two years of post-secondary accounting education with ongoing professional development
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA designation is an asset but not required
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with multi-entity accounting or insurance industry is an asset
Full-time permanent position
In-office at College Plaza Edmonton
Monday to Friday standard business hours
