The Role
Location: Calgary, AB
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Experience Level: 4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
Repair – 70%
Perform hands-on repairs and testing to ensure vehicles meet OEM and safety standards
Coordinate with Parts Technicians to ensure the right components are available for each repair
Diagnose, service, and repair Freightliner and Western Star trucks and related systems
Problem Solving – 20%
Review detailed work orders and service notes
Use modern diagnostic equipment to identify complex issues with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic systems
Accurately document findings and timelines for repair
Reporting & Training – 10%
Maintain precise repair documentation and track work times
Participate in ongoing training sessions and workshops to stay current with technology and best practices
Education / Certification
Registered 4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (HET)
Class 1 or 3 driver’s license is considered an asset
