The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Millwright with the Wastewater Services, based at the French Creek Pollution Control Centre.
The Millwright, Wastewater Services contributes to the effective operation of the RDN’s Wastewater Treatment Facilities through the inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, equipment, and environmental protection infrastructure at these facilities and pump stations. Completion of an interprovincial Red Seal Millwright, with one (1) to three (3) years of related mechanical experience, preferably in a wastewater treatment facility. Possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s licence is also required.
This is a permanent full-time (40 hours per week) Union position. The position offers an attractive benefits package as provided within the collective agreement between the Regional District of Nanaimo and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 401.
