Part-Time Cook, Swing Shift

We're hiring a dedicated, experienced cook to join our team at the Chances Casino in Prince Rupert, BC.
We're looking for candidates that bring expertise in food service and the culinary arts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality meal preparation and exceptional service in a professional environment.
Responsibilities for this position include ensuring menu accuracy, food safety, and customer satisfaction, so passion for delivering high-quality food service with attention to detail is very important. We're looking for someone with a Food Safe Certificate and knowledge of food safety protocols, and kitchen operations. Part of this role includes maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
Strong cooking skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques, are also vital. In this role, you'll be contributing to food preparation, cooking, and plating while you collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional dining experience. You're a vital part of upholding high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
We would like to see people with at least one year of experience in a restaurant or with food service and experience with food handling, or fine dining environments is a plus. This role is part-time and includes 20-30 hours of work per week at $20/hour. It is important that your schedule has the flexibility to include shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Prepare and serve meals according to established menus
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures are always followed
Contribute to food preparation, cooking, and plating for various meal services
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service
Food Safe Certificate
Knowledge of food safety protocols, and kitchen operations
Strong cooking skills, including knife skills and meal preparation techniques
Experience with food handling, or fine dining environments is a plus
Prior restaurant or food service experience is advantage
Passion for delivering high-quality food service with attention to detail
Ability to work evenings, weekends, & holidays
