Senior Software Development Engineer (m/f) (H/F)
Position: Senior Software Developer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto ( Onsite : 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
This position is provisionally Onsite , requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). The Senior Software Developer will translate business and technical system specifications into robust, functional, and tested enterprise applications. The role involves coding, debugging, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
Translate technical system specifications into working, tested software applications.
Build programming specifications, write high‑quality Java/Java EE code, and develop data‑driven components.
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and code optimization for performance and reliability.
Provide technical troubleshooting support during development, deployment, and production operations.
Fully developed and tested application components aligned with approved requirements.
Updated technical and programming specifications.
Completed unit‑testing scripts, execution reports, and defect resolutions.
Technical troubleshooting logs and performance optimization outputs.
10+ years’ hands‑on development using Java Enterprise technologies.
- Strong expertise in application design, modern design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Extensive hands‑on development with Java EE, including debugging and performance tuning.
- Strong SQL and database experience (Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, PL/SQL).
- Proficiency using Eclipse IDE or Rational Application Developer.
- Hands‑on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks: React, Angular, jQuery..
Experience building Internet‑ready applications and using RAD methodologies.
