Job Responsibility:
On behalf of the management team, welcome to the Island Yacht Club! Only a free 10 minute private boat ride from downtown.
Join our team! We have a position available for individuals with an excellent work ethic, enthusiastic personality, and a strong sense of what giving excellent customer service entails.
IYC provides the highest level of service to our members while enhancing their stay on the island. Providing full in-house dining in our award-winning clubhouse, outdoor dining on our waterside patio, poolside drinks and snacks, and takeout.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer services that promote satisfaction
Greet customers and present menu
Make recommendations or share additional information upon request
Take and serve food/drinks orders and up-sell any additional products
Arrange table settings and maintain tables clean and tidy
Check products for quality and correct any problems that keep them from enjoying their meal/drink
Deliver checks and collect payments
Cooperate with all serving and kitchen staff
Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Server
Wine, Beer, and Cocktail knowledge
Smart Serve Certified
Basic point of sale system knowledge.
Volanté POS experience will be considered a plus
Ability to develop constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers
Problem solving and decision making skills
Service orientation and excellent organizational skills
Hands on experience with cash, debit and credit payment process
Active listening and effective communication competencies
Good physical condition
SCHEDULE:
Position requires a flexible work schedule including weekends, and holidays.
Work Week Schedule - To be discussed during the interview
OTHERS:
Complimentary Meals are provided during work shifts
